GOD SPOKE TO ME.....

First of all.....................Introduction. I  am Iheanyi; your regular dude with a difference, Gods Chosen, Suave (here I go blowing my trumpet again: but if I don't who will?). Anyway most importantly a born again Christian but recently I noticed I have been dragging my feet a lot, actually when it comes to church and church activities (Oluwa help this your pikin). I don't particularly have a reason for this but I tell concerned friends; I am in a transition (whatever that means).

So as any Christian will no doubt attest to, there is this yearning to hear from God in all we do and at all times. Sadly some Christians never get to experience this, not because God isn't speaking but because they are listening from the wrong source. OK quick disclaimer am not a Pastor nor do I claim to hold the key to hearing from God; am just writing about an experience I had. I can still remember the day God spoke pidgin English to me in church; I laughed all the way home (it was that funny)
So why am I speaking of hearing from God today? Because I think that there is one person who can read this and say; yeah that brother helped me.

Let's turn to the book of Hebrews 1:1-2
1.  Long ago, God spoke in many different ways to our fathers through the prophets [in visions, dreams, and even face to face], telling them little by little about his plans.

2.  But now in these days he has spoken to us through his Son to whom he has given everything and through whom he made the world and everything there is.

So as a Christian dragging His feet I can't help but feel that God has forgotten me or put me on hold pending my repentance. But Thank God for God, He is not like us and never lets us go no matter how far we wander.

So after not hearing from God for a while on this faithful day I boarded a bike heading to FUTO ( Federal University of science and Technology, Owerri) from Ihiagwa. We have just moved a few miles when suddenly the Okada man started singing. Its a popular Ibo song, join in if you now it........'kpo ya omenma kpo ya omenma' I had no option but to join him in the chorus. People were looking at us funny but right there at that moment I could care less as there was this peace and bliss I was feeling inside and wouldn't trade for anything in the world!

So after the Chorus the guy gave me advice about an issue that had been bothering me for years and how it was God that makes us rich and all our 'efforts'are in vain as it were. When he was done I was so touched because I knew I had been paid a divine visit and it also reminded me that God got me, no matter what was going on with me.
So brethren God does speak to us. In fact, he wants to speak to you more than you know but the challenge is that we are so caught up in our own business and fail to hear him when he speaks. Heck! He spoke through a donkey (who says that dog that comes to you every morning doesn't have a message from Him? No be me send you ooooooo) and can speak in more ways than one.
Lastly as we are in a digital world, God has upgraded too. That D. P, that P. M, that face book update, that tweet may just be God saying Hey Son/Daughter I got you! But when you are in doubt please pick up the 66 book love letter He wrote us.
