Law makers ask for 65% possession of oil-wells by Niger Deltas

Legislators from the south-south and south-east zones have asked the Federal government to allocate 65% of the oil-wells possession to the people of Niger Delta.




 The people who till present owns only less that 10% of the oil-wells in the own region.

This has been urged by law markers in this regions ,so that the revenue form these oil-wells can come back to the people, in other to develop their lands and eradicate the militant continuous uprising.

An adequate machinery has been suggested to be put in place so that the benefiting commentates can directly receive its revenues. The fall-out of these communities cannot be ignored anymore and a drastic and monitored measure must be put in place quickly.
It was also noted that major development has been impeded because of the present mode of payment of these funds.
if these structured direct payment modes can be put in place , violence would be significantly dubbed and developmental activities would undoubtably bob out its head.  While this is in view, transparency and accountability would be encouraged.
