BUHARI AGAINST JONATHAN..PART 2


After looking at the Buhari perspective; President Good luck Jonathan has been tested before , but lets look at how far he can go with how far he has gone.  Study the Achievements, Failures and controversies of Goodluck Jonathan.



CONTROVERSIES:
  • The #BRINGS BACK JONATHAN 2015# CAMPAIGN.  hash tag was used by some of his supporters and the world thought it was insensitive. He later demanded that it was stopped.
  • It was claimed he promised to serve for one term but he declared his intentions to run again, while denying ever making the promise.
  • The unknown Ebele integrated farm which is said to be owned by the president and his mother, but is said to also be guarded by armed men and is the President's resting place.
  •  The removal of fuel subsidy, in on 1 January 2012.
  •   The change of name, of the University of Lagos to MKO Abiola University.

ACHIEVEMENTS
  • GEJ administration has improved power generation from around 2000 megawatts to 4502 megawatts in December 2012, the highest since Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999- With a goal of reaching 10,000 megawatts. Privatization of Nigeria’s power sector.
  •   The power holding company holding company was unbundled into 18 companies for greater efficiency and effectiveness in power generation.
  • Nigeria’s economy has grown to become African largest economy and the fourth in the world. Nigeria’s per capita income was $1,071 in 2009 but now it is $1,721, showing an increase of almost 70%.
  • Inflation has decreased from 15.60 % in 2010 to 7.9%.
  • Maternal mortality rate was 750 per 100,000 births in 2007 but has reduced to 580.
  • He signed the Nigerian oil and gas industry content development bill (local content bill) in 2010 which has increased local content in the oil and gas industry.
  •  The youth enterprise with innovation in Nigeria (YOU WIN) 2011; has increased Job creation.
  • Foreign Exchange reserves rose to $3,702 bn by 2012 which is the highest level in 21 months.
  • The public works women youth empowered programme in 2012 was designed to employ 370,000 youths.
  • NigComSat –IR  satellite to help expand internet band width, monitor the weather and provide early warning to prevent natural disasters. Which has reduced to over $1 billion, that would have been spent on purchasing internet band width from abroad.
  • The textile industry was revived through the ₦150 billion  bailout . Which reactivated the united Nigerian textile limited and about 2000 employees re-engaged.
  • Non-oil exports from 2010 and subsequent years (standing at $2.3 bn) are ten times what they were (which was 200million)
  • Fruition of the international airport , south-west Enugu.
  • There was Revival of the Railways in 2012.
  • 12 universities have been added.
  • Revival of the health sector; 3,389 health centers built nation –wide in 2013 and modernized to international standard.
  • Due to massive local production of Nigeria’s food; import has reduced to import bill has been reduced by 77%.
  • Over one million Jobs has been created in the agricultural value chain.
  • He signed the contract to dredge the lower River Niger-dredge from Onitsha to Baro in Delta state.
  • He signed the hydro-power access development commission (HYPADEC) bill into law in 2011.
  • Provision of mobile phones and fertilizers, at 20% off the official price.
  • He succeeded in kicking out Ebola

FAILURES
  • The failure to bring back the since abducted girls by BOKO HARAM.
  • The promise of a negotiation with the BOKO HARAM.
  • Inability to squash rising insurgencies and security issues.

Now because of time, let's look at just the "failure " of the rescue of the chibok girls.
I think we Nigerian do not ask the right questions... Like
1. Why were the boys sent home before that day (yes! the school is not girls onl)
2.why did the state governor not provide the security he told WAEC we was going to provide after they asked him to move the student to Maiduguri due to security reasons?

3. Why did all the students related to the teachers and staff members sent home before that day???

5.How come foreign intelligence and special trained army experts from US UK etc COULD NOT help in bringing back the girls.? with all their experience????

Let me answer the last one..... Because they came in and saw high level compiracy
